“Art is communication.” As the Founder, managing director, creative initiator and supervisor of scanwerk, Peter Deinas is the communicative driving force behind new project ideas for the future. Creative vision and knowledge must be in his genes — he has already proven to have a strong sense of design focus and entrepreneurial spirit. Because of his motto “communication is art and knowledge”, the Canadian-born entrepreneur earned various degrees in Communication Science, Politics, Economics, and Market & Psychology of Advertising. Before the founding of scanwerk, he gained critical management experience as a music studio producer at BMG Ariola, before starting a career as colorist and completely devoting himself to visualised expression in film, media and advertising. He attained practical experience and know-how over the years while working for ARRI, Bavaria Film Das Werk in Munich, Germany. His clientele list includes many international brands and almost every national brands. He has also done film restoration for the Fassbinder Foundation, the Murnau Foundation, Wim Wenders and John Woo to name a few. The name scanwerk has been synonymous  with success since 2002, due in part to the company’s high sense of quality, diligence and commitment to excellence. Since the beginning, he has  centered his decision making principles and services around the mottoes “state of the art” and “digital workflows”. The company has earned a solid reputation, and has grown continuously every year in the post-production industry due to its strong work ethics, convictions in the areas of leadership, flexibility, imagination, and ingenuity in finding new solutions.
